Bill Cleghorn, Jr. age 83 of Arley, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army and later retired from the Army National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion Post #4580 in Jasper and a member of the American Legion Post #223 in Arley. Bill was a member of Arley Congregational Church. No services are planned. Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Murline Cleghorn; father, Ernest T. Cleghorn; sisters, Peggy Marchman and Jackie Hyche; great grandchildren, Miles Cleghorn, Emily Grace Cleghorn, and Dalton Grant Cleghorn. Bill is survived by his wife, Renita K. Cleghorn; sons, William M. Cleghorn and Robert M. (Jennifer) Cleghorn; daughter, Cindy (Eric) Phillips; grandchildren, Tyler (Dusty) Cleghorn, Paige Cleghorn (Tayler) Loadwick, Brooke (Gabe) Jones, Blake Cleghorn, Belle Cleghorn, Emslee Phillips, and Ehren Phillips; and a host of nieces and nephews.
