FLORENCE – Big River Broadcasting’s signature music show, “Muscle Shoals to Music Row” (MS2MR) had a sellout audience at the Shoals Marriott Conference Center Thursday evening. The show, which is aired live on KIX-96 WXFL 96.1, featured Ashton Shepherd who was last here in January, 2012. Ashton is an engaging young singer/songwriter whose style is reminiscent of classic country female artists. Her style gives country music aficionados, sometimes dejected by the invasion on ‘pop-music’ influences, some hope for the future of the genre’.
Ashton was accompanied by Country artist, Seth Hopkins. Seth is relatively new to Nashville, although, as he says, he is not new to Country Music. Seth got into music full time a number of years ago after he finished his service in the Armed Forces. Seth played a lot of original music, as well as covers from George Jones and others.
