After graduating from Oak Park High School in 1959, Beverly met her husband, Merlin on a blind date while attending nursing school at Northern Illinois University. After marrying Merlin on July 1,1961, they moved to Freeport, IL, followed by another move to Milwaukee, WI. Merlin and Beverly then relocated to Arab, AL in 1971. They were led by the Lord to Calvary Bible Church in Huntsville, AL, where they had the opportunity to establish an AWANA children’s ministry after serving as AWANA leaders at Garfield Baptist Church while living in Milwaukee. She and Merlin spent most of her adult life devoted to the AWANA children’s ministry, working with various churches and many friends to help establish this ministry and spread the gospel.

The family sends heartfelt appreciation to Beverly’s friends, members of her church, members of her Morning Glories group, leaders and members of the AWANA ministry, her physicians, Regency Health and Rehab, and her hospice staff; as well as all those who provided care for Beverly over the years.
