Beverly graduated from Beat Four High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. She loved traveling to the mountains. She was an amazing cook and was known for her cornbread, chicken salad and sweet tea. On Saturday night, you could find her at home watching Molly B’s Polka on RFD TV. She played handbells at First Baptist Church, Biloxi, and loved hosting their annual Christmas party at her home. You could usually find her putting together a puzzle or working in the yard with Dan. During the years when she worked at the Hallmark store, you could always find her helping her customers pick out a special card for their loved ones.
Beverly’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For over twenty years, she took pride in teaching four-year-old Sunday School at First Baptist Church, Biloxi. She absolutely loved Jesus and spreading his love. Most recently she became a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Biloxi.
Granny Bat was a truly wonderful woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She loved as Jesus did and demonstrated it with understanding and giving without expecting anything in return. Her warmth, wisdom, and boundless love were evident in everything she did. Her joy and kindness will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the incredible impact she had on our lives.
