Beulah Black, 91, of Jasper, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at her home.Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 12 until 1 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 1 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Union Chapel Methodist Cemetery. Rev. Donald Hyche will officiate.
Beulah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to many. She was a member of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to cook for her family and her church family as well. Beulah was the owner of the Beehive Flower Shop. She enjoyed making wedding cakes on those special occasions. She will be missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Giles Will “Billy” Black; parents, Sam and Alpha Gardner; brothers, George Lee Gardner (Carrie Lou) and Sammy Gardner (Ocile); sisters, Ivah Gardner, Ida Akins (Sherrill) and Mary Tucker (Charles); grandparents, Green and Deliah Gardner and Hugh and Martha Abel; son-in-law, Larry Hicks and Brother-in-law, Tom Steadman.
She is survived by her loving children, Ranae Sargent (Steve), Regina Black-Hicks, and Tim Black (Annette); grandchildren, Tera Edwards (Daniel), April Tucker (Curtis), Jennifer Nuetzel (Eric), Lauren Alkhalifah (Abul), Jonathan Sargent (Capen), Britton Black (Hannah) and Brendan Black (Shelby); 9 great grandchildren; sister, Martha Steadman and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Abdulrazak Alkhalifa. Pallbearers will be Britton Black, Brendan Black, Jonathan Sargent, Eric Nuetzel, Curtis Tucker and Jackson Jones.
