Mrs. Bettye Phyllis Knowles age 74 of McMinnville, TN, died Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her residence. She was born May 14, 1946, in McMinnville, TN, was a retired school bus driver with the Warren County School System, and a member of the Dayspring Church of God. Bettye loved to travel with family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents Charles and Emma Boyd Link, sisters Teresa McGinnis and Pat Mullican, and brother Donnie Link.
Bettye is survived by her devoted husband Edward Knowles, son Sammy Dawson, step daughters Kim Carter and Tish Watson, step son Cory Knowles, sister Peggy Anderson, brothers Andy Link, Jerry Link, Kenny Link, grandson Trey Dawson, and grandchildren Shelby, Sara, Abby, Aden, Emma, Braden, and Lexibell, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 18, 2021, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rex Boles and Darryl Allen will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at McMinnville Funeral Home. No food gifts at the funeral home.
