Betty Walker, loving wife,
mother, and grandmother,
passed away on December 25,
2018, at North Alabama Specialty Hospital in Athens, AL.
She was 78 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Warnie
Heatherington. She leaves behind to mourn her passing:
her husband, Dan Walker, daughters Laurie Callahan
(Mike) and Suzanne Hunt (Leon), and three wonderful
granddaughters Haley, Abby, and Bella. She is also survived
by her brother, Billy Heatherington (Evevilla), and Carol
Williams (Steve), and a large extended family and friends.
Betty was known for her kindness and her sweet spirit,
and her walk with the Lord was evident in her every day
life. She was very active in her church, Huntsville Park Baptist,
and served in many capacities but her passion was teaching the children there.
She loved her family and was a prayer warrior for them like
no other. She enjoyed gospel music and watching birds,
and she was always in awe of a beautiful sunrise or sunset.
She will be sorely missed.
Due to extensive family illnesses, private services will be held at a later date.
