Betty Sue Montgomery, 85, died Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born May 6, 1932 in Prentiss County, Ms. She had worked as a retail clerk and was a member of Golden United Methodist Church.
Services will be Saturday, December 30, 12 noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Donnie Riley officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are two sisters – Alene Wiginton and Mary Graham; three nephews – Dudley Strickland, David Wiginton and Danny Wiginton and one niece – Donna Ivy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Montgomery, her parents, Quitman Strickland and Ethel Davis Strickland and two brothers, S.A. Strickland and Orville “Joe” Strickland.
Pallbearers will be Dudley Strickland, Andy Strickland, Nicholas Wiginton, Tillman Ivy, Charlie Paden and David Wiginton.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 30, 11 a.m. – 12 noon at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
