Betty Simmons Hopkins, 84 of Joppa passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022, at her residence. Betty was born July 18, 1938, the daughter of Aaron Simmons and Lucille Wright Simmons. She was married to the late Walter Evon Hopkins who died May 22, 2015.
She is survived by her children: Betty Huddleston (Jody), Kathie Jones and Debera Young (Bobby); eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; brother: Ted Simmons (Peggy).
There will be a visitation Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Gober Funeral Chapel from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The family chose to honor her wishes with cremation following visitation, Gober Funeral Chapel assisting the Hopkins family.
