Betty Ruth Gardner, 80, of Cherokee, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mac Lindley officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Springs Cemetery.
Betty was a native of Harrisburg, Arkansas and a longtime resident of Cherokee. She enjoyed sewing, canning and cooking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lewis Gardner; her parents, Jim Mac and Dovie Propes; her brothers, Bobby Gene and Jim Mac Propes; and sister, Mildred Marie Pilkington.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Debra Savage (Ken), Sharon Sanford (Scot) and Teresa Boyd; and her seven grandchildren.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
