She loved to cook, spend time with her grandsons, and enjoyed going to the markets and antiquing with her sister, mother, and daughter, Beth.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Roy Donald Hendricks; son, Roy Donald, Jr.; brother, Benny Gainey; and parents, Ila and Louis Gainey.
She is survived by her daughters, Beth Cline (Kenneth) of Grenada, MS, and Mary Travis of North Carolina; sister, Dorothy Bland; and niece, Shelia Adams of Port Angeles, WA; grandchildren, Joshua Cline, Christopher Cline (Breanna), Jessica Travis, and Kristin Travis; great granddaughter, Sellers Cline (Chris and Breanna); and Montgomery Gardens caregivers and staff.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Tim Hudson, pastor, will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Self Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
