Mrs. Betty Ruth Belote Pirtle, 89, of Bartlett, TN, departed this life on Thursday morning, April 17, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital, Bartlett.
The daughter of the late Smith McGlohn “S. M.” Belote and Ruth Elizabeth Daniel Belote, she was born in Mercer and married Mr. Fred Ray Pirtle, who survives on September 30, 1950. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Black.
A homemaker, she loved rearing her two daughters and spending time and creating memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a long-time member of Wells Station Road Baptist Church where she was active in her Sunday School class. She had lived in the Memphis/Bartlett communities for over 65 years.
She leaves her husband of nearly 75 years, Fred Ray Pirtle; her two daughters, Pamela (Ricky) Morgan and Becky (Ronnie) Stacks, all of Bartlett; three grandchildren, Jason (Anje) Morgan, Shawn (Natalie) Morgan and Jennifer (Chris) Maley; and eight great-grandchildren, Elijah, Gideon, Hannah, Teddy, Betsy and Ginny Morgan, Collin and Katelyn Maley.
