Betty Rozelle Farrow – Obituary

Betty Rozelle Farrow, 88, of Huntsville, died peacefully in her home on Saturday. Born in New Market, AL, she moved to Tennessee as a child, where her father owned Rozelle Grocery for many years in Chapel Hill. She attended business college in Tennessee, and married Houston H. Farrow in 1948. They soon moved to Huntsville where they raised their children. She worked as a secretary at Ashburn-Gray, Thiokol, Brown Engineering, International Harvester and Double Cola. Mrs. Farrow was a member of Huntsville Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston H. “Hugh” Farrow.

Survivors include children, Houston E. Farrow and wife, Susan, Betty “Betsy” Farrow Jenkins and husband, Phil, and Mary Jane Farrow, all of Huntsville; sister, Lila Rozelle Blackburn of Fairview, TN; grandchildren, Ami Jenkins, Leah Farrow and husband, Josh Griffin, Melissa Pope and husband, Benjamin, and James Farrow; great-grandchildren, Liam Patrick and Juniper Pope; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel with Pastor Ed J. Deel officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
