Betty Owens Hughes, 90, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 9, at Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Tyler Armstrong officiating.
Betty was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist church. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Hershel Hughes; parents, John and Pauline Owens; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Allen Bowling; niece, Dianne Bowling; and granddaughter, April Nicholson.
Betty is survived by her sons, Jim Hughes and Brett Hughes (Susan); granddaughter, Anna Wilt (Jacob); niece, Kathy Blevins (Greg); and nephews, Steve Bowling (Stacey) and Michael Bowling.
