Betty Marie Dalrymple, age 87, of Tuscumbia, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012. Her family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Wednesday at noon in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ricky Zahnd officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Betty was a native of Colbert County, a retired seamstress and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Dalrymple.
She is survived by her son, Larry Dalrymple and wife, Linda, of Tuscumbia; daughter, Rita Pennington and husband, Mark, also of Tuscumbia; grandsons, Kevin Dalrymple (Melissa), of Hartselle, Ala., Kelsey Dalrymple (Michelle), of Newman, Ga., Kyle Pennington, of Tuscumbia; great-grandchildren, Natalie Dalrymple, Allison Dalrymple, Lynley Dalrymple and Davis Dalrymple.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Kevin Dalrymple, Kelsey Dalrymple, Kyle Pennington and friends, Harold Gene McDaniel, Kevin Brown and Ray Brown.
The family expresses special thanks to Dr. Hagen and the 4th floor nurses at Shoals Hospital for their care and support.
