Betty Marie Dalrymple, age 87, of Tuscumbia, died Sunday, September 23, 2012. Her family will receive friends Tuesday 7-9 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Wednesday at noon in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ricky Zahnd officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Betty was a native of Colbert County, a retired seamstress and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Dalrymple.
She is survived by her son, Larry Dalrymple and wife Linda of Tuscumbia, daughter, Rita Pennington and husband Mark, also of Tuscumbia; grandsons, Kevin Dalrymple (Melissa) of Hartselle, AL, Kesley Dalrymple(Michelle) of Newnan, GA, Kyle Pennington of Tuscumbia; great grandchildren, Natalie Dalrymple, Allison Dalrymple, Lynley Dalrymple and Davis Dalrymple.
Pallbearers are grandsons; Kevin Dalrymple, Kesley Dalrymple, Kyle Pennington and friends, Harold Gene McDaniel, Kevin Brown, and Ray Brown.
The family expresses special thanks to Dr. Hagen and the 4th floor nurses at Shoals Hospital for their care and support.
