Betty Louise Letsinger, age 89, of Leighton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 30, 2025. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, December 2, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Kenny Morgan and Chad Holder will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
A native of Colbert County, Betty was born on February 13, 1936 to the late Earl and Missouri Gregory. She loved going to church services, gospel music, Colbert County football, her community, and her family. In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, James Taylor Letsinger; her stepmother, Lizzebell Gregory; numerous siblings and many other relatives.
Those left to mourn her the most include her beloved sons, James Earl Letsinger and John Lance Letsinger; siblings, Bob Gregory, Paul Gregory, Ed Bullion, Jewell Dean, and Wilodean Davis; grandchildren, Jenna Atkisson, Madison Mitchell, Kaylee Mitchell, Emilee Mitchell, Alexis Mitchell, and Greyson Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers include Chris Robinett, Chance Robinett, Dennis Gregory, Len Gregory, Mark Bullion, Greg McNatt, and Jonathan Landers.
The family gratefully acknowledges the kind and compassionate care from the staff of Affinity Hospice.
