Betty Lou Stafford Lewis, 90 of Quinton, passed away Sunday Sept. 27, 2026 at UAB Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Stafford; her late husbands, James Stafford and Leroy Lewis; parents, Oscar and Margaret Bridgeman; baby brother and sister, Billy James Bridgeman and Argie Mae Bridgeman; sister, Patsy Peoples; brother, Bobby Bridgeman; nephew, Ray Peoples; niece, Sandra Madison; brother-in-law, Charles Stafford (Ruby) and sisters-in-law, Shirley Jenkins (Johnny) and Linda Carver (John).
Survivors include her daughter, Sheree Jones (Frank); grandchildren, James Stafford, Miranda (Grant) Murray, Kyle (Emily) Capps, Sabastian (Kadey) Capps and Sabrina (Brad) Capps; great grandchildren, Gavin and Garrett Murray, Adalyn Stafford, Nevaeh and Oaklee Walls and Rain, Eleanor and Drew Capps; nieces and nephews, Patsy (Lee) Woods, Lisa Peoples, Teresa Jenkins (Megan), David Jenkins and Bobby Jenkins; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday Sept. 30, 26 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Bro. Buddy Sparkman will officiate. Burial will follow at Freewill Cemetery in West Jefferson. Visitation is Wednesday from 1-2 pm.
