Betty L Bazan, (76), lost her battle with breast cancer on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at home with her family. She was born in Mishawaka, In to James S and Frances I, (Petree) Konopinski on August 30, 1946. She graduated from Penn High School in Mishawaka. After a few years to raise her children, she attended and graduated from Indiana University at South Bend. After graduation she worked for Communitywide Federal Credit Union in South Bend, In until her retirement. She loved light houses, country music, puzzles and penguins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Bazan Jr, and four grandchildren: Laura Six, Debra Hensley, Justin Corbin and Zoe Corbin. She is survived by her brother, James S. Konopinski Jr. of Osceola, In, her daughters Linda S. Corbin of Oxford, AL and Sylvia J. Rowe of Clifton Forge, VA as well as four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no memorial or service.
