Betty Kiestler was born August 22, 1954 in Somerville, TN the daughter of the late Chester Skelton and Margaret Laverne Yon Skelton. She departed this life on January 30, 2020 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 5 Months, 8 Days.
Betty was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation in Bethel Springs, TN. She also owned and operated the pool hall in Bolivar for many years.
She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Betty’s family will miss her dearly.
She is survived by two daughters, Misty West of Hornsby, TN, Deana Carol Thompson and husband Mitchell of Selmer, TN; three grandchildren: Kaitlyn West, Megan Brooke West, Shanna Thompson; a grt-grandchild, Bryson Clark; three sisters: Faye Morris, Shirley Shelton, Margaret Ann Hill all of Selmer, TN; a brother, Chester “Butch” Shelton Jr. and wife Janie of GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by the father of her children, Mitch Kiestler and a son-in-law, Chris West.
Private services were held.
