Funeral services will be Saturday, December 19th, 2020, at 3:00 p.m., at Collier-Butler Chapel for Betty Kay Beddingfield, 75, of Gadsden, who passed away Wednesday, December 16th, 2020. Rev. Roger Collins will officiate. Interment will be at Hughes-Moragne Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services. Betty was the eldest out of 8 children. She graduated from Gadsden High School. She was a long time and very active member at Walnut Park Baptist Church. Preceding her in death are her husband, James “Jim” Beddingfield; parents, Harry and Betty Whorton; and brother, David Whorton. Survivors include her sons, James “Jimmy” Beddingfield, Philip Beddingfield; daughter, Beth Beddingfield; grandchildren, Lauren and Kaitlin Beddingfield, Meredith and Meagan Beddingfield, Adam and Cooper Wadsworth, and Alexus Horn; siblings, Sandra (Johnny) Duncan, Cam (Mary) Whorton, Donnie (Debbie) Whorton, Joe (Kim) Whorton, LuRae Morgan, Harry (Angela) Whorton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
