Betty Joyce Kimbrough, age 81, Russellville, Alabama, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014, at Helen Keller Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Lizzie Pace McGregor and Odie B. McGregor, her husband, William Leonard Kimbrough, sister, Vena Mae Morgan, Elizabeth Dean Wheeler, and Dorothy Jean Steele, and a granddaughter, Donna Jo Gasque.
Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home. The 2 p.m. service will be Thursday, June 12, 2014, at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Gargis Cemetery. Brother Johnnie Hood and Brother Keith Prince will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
She is survived by her children, Lenda Gasque (Ronald), Brenda Hallmark (Harlon), Carolyn Pennington (Gerald), and Neil Kimbrough (Sue); a special niece, Ann Copeland; and a special nephew, Johnny Allen.
Mrs. Kimbrough is also survived by many siblings. They are Agnes Thornton (Thurlo), Annette Quinn(Hershal), Ernest McGregor, and Stancil McGregor (Betty).
Grandchildren are Andrea Bolton, Philip Hallmark, Andrew Gasque, Rhonda Davis, Claressa Talley, Sam Pennington, Matthew Hallmark, James Ray Kimbrough, and Ethan Pennington, and there are 22 great-grandchildren.
