Betty Joyce Beavers Jett, 89 of Dora, passed away Feb. 10, 2022 at her residence.
She was born Oct. 12, 1933, the seventh daughter and the baby of nine children. She attended the old Brazelle School in Dora and then Dora High School. She loved designing flowers and always wanted her designs to look the best.
Funeral services will be Monday Feb. 14, 22 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Don Stanton will officiate, Burial will follow in Bryan Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday night 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Jett; daughter, Paula McCormack; parents, Will and Myrtle beavers and her siblings, Paul Beavers, Addie Stone, Evelyn Black, Velma Glover and Juanita Matthews.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Tate; grandchildren, Wayne Mangrum (Shanda), Billy Mangrum (Angela), Amanda Taliaferro (Chris) and Taylor Matthews (Morgan); great grandchildren, Jackson, Kayla, Grantley, Ava, Nicholas, Will, Noah, Layton and Wiley; sisters, Geraldine Drummond and Hazel Parker; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
