Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Joanne Stegall, age 89, will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12PM until service time at the church.
Mrs. Stegall, a retired bookkeeper, former member of Central Avenue Christian Church and current member of Antioch Baptist Church, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Clark “Billy” Stegall Jr.; parents, Wilburn and Hortense DeLoach; sisters, Dorothy Drake and Sara Piercy; and brothers, Malcom DeLoach, S.W. DeLoach, Cecil DeLoach and James DeLoach.
Mrs. Stegall is survived by a daughter, Betty Anne Stegall; two sons, Richard Austin Stegall and John Wilbon Stegall; grandchildren, Joshua Adam Stegall and Pamela Nicole Taylor; and a great granddaughter, Millie Kate Taylor.
Mrs. Stegall loved spending time with her family and enjoyed working with her church especially the Baptist Missions Group. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
