Betty Joan Whitten, 85, Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023. A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 25, at Lynn Cemetery, Lynn, AL, beginning at 1:00 p.m., with Russ Whitten officiating.
Betty was a native of Nauvoo, Alabama and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the most loving and generous mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Rogers Whitten, and parents, Hardy and Melvia Gray.
Betty is survived by her children, Peggy Palmer, and Russ and Charlene Whitten; and grandchildren, John David Palmer, and Savannah Whitten and Chris Hammarberg, and Charles Jackson Whitten.
