Betty Jo Rich – Obituary

Betty Jo Rich, 87, of Zip City, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 5, 2018. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 7th from 10 a.m. to noon at Salem Church of Christ. The service will follow at noon at the church. Burial will be in Rogers Chapel Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Betty was a member of Salem Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She loved her flowers and made the best fried apple pies in the world. She was well known as “Granny Rich” by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Pauline Wilson Keeton; husband of 56 years, Bernard Rich; sons, Douglas and Charlie Rich; four brothers and seven grandchildren.

Survivors are her daughters, Elaine Rhodes (Delbert Sr.), Barbara Ingram and Carolyn Swinea; son, James “Train” Rich (Rose) all of Zip City; daughter-in-law, Peggy Rich; sisters, Nell Keeton and Ann Barkley; brother, Pete Keeton; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
