Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo Owens, age 88, will be held on Friday July 16, 2021 at 1 pm in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton with Steven Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday July 16, 2021 starting at 11 am until the service time at 1 pm in the chapel of Shelton funeral Home.
Mrs. Owens a, member of Westside Baptist Church and retired worker at Century Electric and the Humboldt Bowling Lanes, passed away on Tuesday July 13, 2021 at the Dyer Nursing Home in Dyer, TN.
Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by: her husband James Hershal Owens; her parents Rubin Theron and Annie Bell (Ogles) Wright; a son Robert Allen Ownes; and grandson Rockland Joseph Owens.
Mrs. Owens is survived by: a daughter Louise Cantrell of Trenton, TN; a son James Holt Owens of Elizabeth City ,NC; four grandchildren Kenneth Wayne Cantrell, Denise Knolton, Jeanne Marie Owens, and Daniel Leigh Owens; three great grandchildren J.L. Neisler, Rachel Neisler and Elizabeth Christine Cantrell; and two great great grandchildren Averi Neisler and Johnaton Neisler.
