Betty Jo Mahaha Shedd, age 86 of South Carolina, passed away on February 20,2024 in Jasper, Alabama.
Betty was a beautiful lady with a captivating smile that endeared her to all who knew her. She was a talented cook who cherished hosting family gatherings for various holidays. Her dedication to Union Grove Methodist Church was unwavering, and she was highly respected during her employment at Parisians in Five Points West. Betty found joy in sewing, painting and cooking.
She is survived by her daughter Vickie (James Gary) Frye, son Mark (Barbara) Shedd, grandchildren James Brandon Frye, David Shedd, Dustin Shedd, Daniel (Kelsey) Shedd, Douglas Shedd, Stephanie (Richard) Moore, Jay Wall, Matthew (Sadie) Wall. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Everleigh Renee Shedd, Elliette Clair Shedd, Scarlet Julia Moore and Richard Allen More III. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Elvin Lee Shedd, her daughter Kristi Melinda Wall and her grandson Rowan Thomas Moore.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, February 23, 2024, from New Horizon Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Gardens in Adamsville.
