Betty Jo Chance, age 85 of Greenbrier, TN passed away Thursday, January 30th, 2026 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, February 6th at Calvary Baptist Church, 2806 Hwy 41 S, Greenbrier, TN with Pastor Gary Dillard officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 12pm until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Springfield, TN with Daryl Greenfield, Ralph Robertson, Mark Chance, T.J. Chance, Scott Dillard and Ricky Layfield serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Gary Wayne Dillard.
She was born August 27, 1940 in Adairville, KY to the late Thomas Lee and Lula Robertson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bell Chance; daughter and son-in-law Amanda and David Morris; siblings, Thomas Edward Robertson, Johnny W. Robertson, Billy Ray Robertson, Marie Hooten, Lula Mae Hightower, Elsie Lee Hudnell and Peggy Weatherford.
She loved her family very much as well as her dog Daisy Mae and she enjoyed shopping. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had worked as an Assembly Worker at Genesco Shoe Company.
She is survived by sons, Michael Wayne (Lisa) Chance, Robert Mark Chance; daughters, Melinda (Gary) Dillard and Lisa Marie (Randy) Rowland; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
