Funeral services for Betty Jean Terry, 78, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with the Rev. Shane Williams officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Terry, who died Monday, October 14, 2013, at River City Care, was born February 13, 1935, to Frank and Grace Buchanan. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and had retired from Monsanto and GE.
Survivors include sons, Michael Lee Terry (Jean) of Mattawan, Michigan and Randy Terry (Vicky) of Town Creek; daughters, Pam Sockwell (Philip) of Tuscumbia and Lisa Barnett (Steve) of Decatur; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
