Betty Jean Satterfield, 78, of Madison, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
Mrs. Satterfield is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe Satterfield; daughter, Demetra Whisenant; grandchildren, Lawrence Whisenant (Taylor), Matthew Whisenant, Ahsley Shumate (Tyler), Kayla Satterfield, and Bethany Diaz (Marco); great-grandchildren, Lainey, Levi, Axel, Everett, and Ruby; nephews, Jimmie Satterfield, and Whit Satterfield.
She is preceded by her parents, Lawrence and Laura Cosby; and children, Steve Satterfield, and Jeffery Scott Satterfield.
Betty is remembered as a loving and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She spent her career serving the Madison County School Board and retired after 25 years of dedicated service.
Visitation for Mrs. Satterfield will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Bro. Kevin Moore and Bro. Ron Madison officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
