Betty Jean Cunningham, age 75, resident of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29th at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Betty was born April 5, 1947, in Saginaw, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Obie Westbrook and the late Georgia Williams DeGroat.  She was a kind lady that enjoyed helping others and worked as an LPN.  She was a Christian that enjoyed doing a Bible study every morning.  After retiring Betty went back to work at JC Penny because she liked talking with people so much and shopping.  She also loved traveling around to different casinos.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Tammy Wiggins of Franklin, Kimberly Westbrook of Columbia, Michelle (James II) Reaves of Detroit, MI, and Niccole Crowley of Columbia; sister, Cynthia Reeves; grandchildren, Kimisha Edwards, Paris Westbrook, Markayla Westbrook, Erica Clemons, Alexis Clemons, Markelius Crowley, Kennedy Reaves, James Reaves, III, and Trinity Crowley-Owens; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Johnson; and great grandchildren, Victoria and AJ.

Pallbearers will be James Reaves II, James Reaves III, Larry Owens, and William Waters.  Markelius Crowley will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
