Betty Jane Whitt Turner, 82, of Owens Cross Roads, AL passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at her home.
Betty Jane was born Tuesday, September 8, 1936 in Limestone County, AL, to Odie Berry Whitt and Hazel Alberta Buckner Whitt. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and adoring grandmother. Betty Jane loved her profession as a nurse and considered it a great honor to care for her patients and family. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deborah Joy Rolin Miller; brothers, Joe Kenneth Whitt, Jr., and John Bunyan Whitt.
Betty Jane is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Nolan Turner, of Owens Cross Roads, AL; daughters, Tambra (Brad) Liberg, of Spokane, WA, and Lisa (Alan) Volz, of Huntsville, AL; sister, Judy Whitt Park, of Huntsville, AL; grandsons, Ryan Liberg, Hunter Liberg, Ben (Libby) Volz, Sam Volz, Michael (Deanna) Miller, and Chris (Summer) Miller; and great-grandsons, Noah Miller, and Will Miller.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019, 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM with Chaplain Anthony Ford officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
