Betty Jane Johnson, 80 of Tuscumbia, died October 26, 2015. Visitation will be Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 1 – 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Bro. Sam Wallace and Bro. Richard Edmunds will be officiating. Interment will be at Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was a Colbert County Native and a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church, Tuscumbia. She was preceded in death by parents, John and Bassie Wallace.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward R. Johnson; sons, Kenneth E. Johnson(Pam) of Cherokee and Johnnie W. Johnson(Dianna) of Cordova, TN; brothers Sam Wallace(Brenda) of Muscle Shoals, Nelson Wallace(Carolyn) of Cherokee and Raymond Wallace, Cherokee; sisters, Peggy Posey(Franklin) of Cherokee, Jean McCafferty(Roger) of LaFayette, LA and Becky Hunt(Dwayne) of Muscle Shoals; grandchildren, Desiree Buchanan(Bo), Angeline Looney(Adam) and John M. Johnson; great-grandchildren, Kain, Tommi, Bayly, Madyson and Lyla.
Pallbearers will be family members.
