Betty Jane Bryam Tidwell, 87, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, at her residence. She was born in Dennis, MS, to L.O. “Ted” and Wynna Campbell Byram. She was a member of Liberty Church of Christ. She enjoyed going to Belmont Cardinal basketball games, Sunday lunch with her whole family and all church activities.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Church of Christ in Dennis, MS, with David Conley and Nathan Adams officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS, will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Cumberland; two sons, Donnie Tidwell (Anita) and Mark Tidwell; her daughter-in-law, Janie Tidwell; five grandchildren, Corey Tidwell, Joshua Tidwell, Myshae Ashley (Jason), Zach Tidwell, and Megan Martin (Justin); 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews and a special caregiver, Deborah Harrison.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Kelly Tidwell; her parents; one son, Terry Tidwell; her son-in-law, Don Cumberland; one sister, Dian Horn and a special friend, Ed Brandon.
Pallbearers will be Corey Tidwell, Joshua Tidwell, Jason Ashley, Zach Tidwell, Graydon Tidwell and Knox Tidwell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Martin, Channing Ozbirn and Dak Ashley.
