Betty Gean Winters, age 83, of Florence, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 4, noon-1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Winters was born in Florence, Ala. to Clarence Winters and Bonnie Spann Winters. She was a member of Cross Point Church of Christ. Retiring from Bell South after 30 years of service, she was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. She also worked for Wal-Mart for more than 10 years and for G.F. Wilson and Co. for several years. She loved working and enjoyed all the people she came in contact with.
Survivors include
sister, Rosalie Spencer;
brothers, Charles Winters (Josephine) and
Clyde Winters (Catherine); and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Safe Place or Cross Point Mission Fund.
