Betty Fisher Baskins, age 81, of Sheffield, died Friday, September 20, 2013. Her family will receive friends Saturday 6-9 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Chad Holder officiating. Burial will follow in Vandiver Hollow Cemetery.
Mrs. Baskins was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Josephine Vess Fisher; her husband, Arthur Baskins; her daughter, Betty Jean Hamm, brothers, and sisters
She is survived by her son; Arthur Baskins (Sharon); daughters, Diane Boatwright, Phyllis Hargett, Josie Moore, Tracy Armstead and Sarah Garner; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Riley Hamm, Jason Poore, Ben Hamm, Matt Sibley and Joey South.
