In Loving Memory of Mrs. Betty F. Hinds (nee Fuchs)

Betty stepped into God’s presence on June 12, 2018. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 12, 1924 to Charles and Verna Fuchs. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Hinds; her parents; and two of her siblings (Charles Fuchs and Maurice Fuchs). She is survived by a brother, Stan Fuchs and two sisters, Barb Eaker and Verna Jean Dulaney; three sons, Robert (Sheila) Hinds, Perry (Susan) Hinds and Kim (Mary Jane) Hinds; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Betty loved her family with a passion. She was an ardent fan of the Cardinal baseball team. She enjoyed bowling on a ladies’ bowling league until her 90th birthday…and she was very good at it. She loved fishing and traveling to see her family…wherever they were. But most importantly to her, she raised her three sons to be amazing men.

During World War II, and just after getting married, she sent her husband off to war and she went to work in a wartime factory. After he returned, they spent their early married years in St. Louis eventually following his aviation career to Decatur, Alabama. Years later moving back to Creve Coeur, Missouri where she spent the remainder of her life.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018. There will be an informal, family led funeral service at 10:30 a.m. and graveside service at Valhalla Cemetery immediately afterwards.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Conquer Cancer Foundation, 2318 Mill Road, Suite 800, Alexandria, VA 22314 (or online at https://www.conquer.org) or Stray Rescue of St. Louis, 2320 Pine Street, St. Louis, MO 63103 (or online at https://www.strayrescue.org) in memory of Betty F.
