Betty Elliott Inman, age 86, of Tuscumbia, went to be with Jesus on November 27th after a brief illness. Ms. Betty, as she was affectionately known to all, undoubtedly heard the immortal words ‘well done thy good and faithful servant’ as she entered her eternal home.

She was always proud to be part of the small community of Sugar Hill on which the church sits, and she was even honored as “Queen of Sugar Hill” at one of the many reunions. Ms. Betty spent most of her time entertaining her friends and family with funny stories and home cooked meals. In her kitchen her specialties included: divinity candy, cornbread dressing, and canned pickles to name a few. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to many, and they all called her “Mamaw” with love.
