Betty Elaine Smith, age 83 passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Stone Ridge HealthCare in Goodlettsville. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Thursday, April 16th, 2026 in the Chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier. The family will receive friends 11am until time of service on Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Dividing Ridge Road.
Betty was born in Nashville, TN December 4, 1942 to the late John High Smith and Myrtle Mae Heflin Smith. She was also preceded in death by sister, Marcelle Smiley and brothers, Dowell Smith and Randall Smith. She was always telling people that she loved Jesus.
She is survived by brother-in-law, Hayden Smiley; nieces, Kimberly (Walter) Phillips, Megen Smith; Nephews, Stephen Smiley, Anthony (Jackie) Smiley, Phillip Smith, Daniel Smith; great-nieces, Jessica Knuckols, Katrina Mercer, Marcy Loy, Patti Hatcher, Anna Smiley; great-nephews, Will Smiley, Justin Phillips, Jonathon Smiley, Kyle Smiley and Justin Phillips.
