Betty Dewayne Sandlin Betty Dewayne Sandlin, of Athens, passed away on Friday, March 14th, 2025, at Lincoln Medical Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee, and was 75 years young. Mrs. Sandlin was born on November 28th, 1949, in Athens, Alabama, to Elmer and Willie (Cox) Mitchell.

Mrs. Sandlin is survived by her daughter, Summer Young (Chris); grandchildren, Carson Joe Young and Paisley Grace Young; brother, Jeff Mitchell; and sister, Ann Wright.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Leon Mitchell and Willie Don Mitchell; spouse, Arthur Wayne Sandlin; and brother, David Mitchell.

The funeral service for Mrs. Sandlin will be Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Kasey Harbin officiating. The visitation will be Tuesday, from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Sandlin was a member of the Westview Church of Christ. She lived her life as a faithful wife, loving mother, and a loving MiMi. She enjoyed spending most of her time watching her youngest grandchildren, Carson and Paisley. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, going to eat with friends, and going to sporting events with grandchildren.
