On Thursday January 28, 2021 Betty Dempsey of Big Cove, Alabama passed away in peace from complications of the Covid 19 virus.
Betty was 82 years old, born on July 2, 1938 in Madison County Alabama to Clint and Mae Bragg Pylant. Betty was the third born of seven siblings.
Betty was a Wife, Mother, Nanner, Sister, Aunt, Friend and Uncle Betty!
On August 27, 1955, at age 17, she married her true love Will Robert “Bob” Dempsey. They have remained inseparable for 65 years.
Betty took pride in her home, family and community. In 1978 Betty and Bob opened B&B Precision machine, Inc. She was the heartbeat of the business. They retired October 10, 2019. Betty touched many hearts in her lifetime, she never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Mae Pylant; two sisters, Margaret Barry and Nancy Leslie; and two brothers, Harold Pylant and Ralph Pylant.
Surviving are husband, Bob Dempsey; daughter, Rhonda (Johnny); one grandson, Dustin Whitaker (Christan); two sisters, Patricia Cook (Don) and Kathy Williams (Danny).
The family would like to thank the wonderful care that Huntsville Hospital doctors and nurses gave to Betty and her family during this difficult time.
Graveside service will be held at Green Valley Cemetery, Tuesday at 1:00 PM with Rhonda and Dusty officiating.
