Mrs. Betty Clyde Irons, 78, died Friday, October 6, 2017 at Athens Limestone Hospital. She was born May 26, 1939 in Limestone County to Clyde and Nina May Phillips. She was a member of the Isom’s Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the Gideons International.
Services will be today at 3 p.m. at Isom’s Chapel United Methodist Church with David Nelson, Eddie Gooch, and Tony Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Athens City Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Paul J. Irons, of Athens; daughters, Kathy Irons Brooks and husband Larry, of Athens; Donna Irons Gollihar, of Mobile; Susan Irons Crittenden and husband, Mike, of Athens; son, Brandon Irons, of Athens; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
