Betty Clark, 68, of Madison, Alabama, passed away on July 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Betty dedicated many years of service to the Alabama Department of Transportation before retiring. Never one to slow down, she later enjoyed working at Home Depot, where she took pride in her work and helping others.
More than anything, Betty loved her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness, strength, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She found joy in the simple moments, treasured time with those she loved, and created memories that her family will carry with them forever.
Betty is survived by her son, Stephen Smith; her daughter, Emily (Lance) Hambrick; her grandchildren, Hayley Patterson, Chase Patterson, Cody Patterson, Katey Smith, and Amelia (James) Binkley; her great-granddaughter, Lynleigh Patterson; her chosen sister and lifelong best friend, Connie Rogers; along with nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Clark.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Betty is no longer suffering. Her love, strength, kindness, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 9:00 to 9:30 am with the funeral service immediately following in the chapel at 9:30 am with Rev. Tim Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Betty’s memory to the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation.
