Betty Christine Pope, age 86 of Fort Payne, passed away on March 18, 2026 at her residence. She was born on March 17, 1940 to the late Cody & Gertie Henderson Campbell in DeKalb County. She was a member of Gault Avenue Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2026 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Jeff (Kathy) Pope and Jamey (Rachel) Pope; grandchildren, Adam (Jessica) Pope, Decoda Williams, Kaitlin Lee, Nathan Pope, and Mason Pope; great-grandchildren, Lyla Pope, Lane Pope, Luke Lee, Nova Lee, and Jack Lee; sister-in-law, Bobbie Campbell; nephews, Stuart Campbell and Shad Campbell; and many more nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Pope; daughter, Lisa Pope; granddaughter, Ashley Pope; and brother, Buford Campbell.
