Funeral services will be Saturday, February 20th, 2021 at 11:30 a.m., at Collier-Butler Chapel for Betty Ann Turner, 89, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away Tuesday, February 16th, 2021. Interment will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Arrangements under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services. Betty was a loving wife to a U.S. veteran and the best mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister you could ask for. She will be deeply missed by her family. Preceding her in death is her husband, Edgar B. Turner; child, Baby Turner; parents, Finas and Audrey Gaskey; siblings, Marion Studdard, Demurrel Jenkins, Carolyn Gowens, and Larry Gaskey. Survivors include her daughters, Ovella (Mike) Pinkston, Sandra (Steve) Wilson; sons, Edgar B. “Sam” Turner, Jr., Ricky (Donna) Turner, James (Paula) Turner; grandchildren, Candelyn (Brandon) Turner, Laura Brown, Ashley (Esco) Turner, Belinda (Donny) Bryson, Carla (David) Durham, James Turner, Jr., Alexis and Alisha Douglas, Gina, Tina, and Timothy Anderson; 21 great grandchildren,13 great-great grandchildren; and brother, Marcel (Susan) Gaskey. Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons. The family would like to express a special thanks to Hannah Turner and the rest of the staff at Amedisys Hospice. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
