Betty Ann McCrary-Joiner was born July 17,1959 to the late Margarett Miller-McCrary and George McCrary in Madison, Alabama. She was the first born of five children. She was called home from her earthy life to receive her wings and rest on September 13, 2023.
Betty Ann enjoyed cooking and worked for a few food companies throughout her earlier years. She was also a day care and health care worker. She spent a lot of time caring for people and helping those in need. She loved children and would often take on the “Mother” role for MANY CHILDREN!!! She loved to love, help, laugh, and most of all light up a room with her beautiful smile. She continued that spirit throughout her life and pain!
She leaves to Cherish her memories: a loving husband Roosevelt Joiner, one daughter: Santana McCrary; One son: Kendell McCrary; Four grandchildren (Kendall, Jacorey, Autumn, Kendell Jr); Three Great-grandchildren (Nina, Aubrey, and Messiah); Five sisters: Nancy McCrary, Rosemary Gibson (Alvin), Deborah Carter (Andra), Margrett Robinson (Leo), and Dawn Poole; Three brothers: Sedric McCrary, Robert Jefferson (Shirley) and Jefferson Hereford (Joyicee); Two God sisters: Shelena Allison (Johnny) and Katrina Miller; One special niece: Madison Mccrary; Seven aunties: Mattie Jefferson, Mosetta Miller, Martha Garner, Nancy Thomason, Sallie Jefferson, Daisy Miller, and Gloria Miller; One uncle: Mack McCrary (Shirley); One brother-in-law: Arthur Joiner. She was blessed with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and many who considered her “Mama/grandma Betty”.
Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the Big Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church (133 Maple Street, Madison, AL 35758) with Reverend John Jude as eulogist and Pastor Jeffery Jefferson officiating. Interment will be in Blutchers Ford Cemetery. Mrs. McCrary-Joiner will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2023, and 8:30 until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the Royal Funeral Home.
