Betty Ann Carney, age 86 of Mt. Hope, Alabama, passed away January 14, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born February 21, 1939 to Wilber and Lawilda Leisure Poore . Betty was a hard-working woman who took pride in everything she did. In her time off, she found peace and joy tending to her flower beds, where her love for nature truly shined. She cherished her family deeply and treasured every moment spent with them. She also loved to fish, enjoying the quiet and comfort it brought her. Above all, she was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her life and the way she loved others. No services will be held at this time. Betty is survived by her Daughter, Brenda Stacy; brother, Mark Poore; special niece Billy Gibbons and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She is proceeded by her husband, James Carney; Son-in-law, Larry Stacy; special nephew, Don Gibbons and 13 of her cherished brother and sisters
