Funeral service for Betty Allen Thompson, 87, will be Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Valhermoso Holiness Church with Bro.Tim Patrick and Bro. Melvin Brown officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Church.
Mrs. Thompson passed with peace and grace on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at her residence with her family at her side. She was born April 20, 1927, in Washington, D.C. to Albert Frank Allen and Pearl Allen. Betty will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who’s greatest passion was helping others. She was preceded in death by her husband: Howard Nathan Thompson, three sons: Courtney B. Diamond, Larry and David Thompson, a brother: Frank Albert Allen, and one sister: Mary Jacobs.
