Beth Elaine Chitwood Thomas, 64, of Fort Payne, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026. She was born December 8, 1961 to the late Briggs and Betty Graves Chitwood. Beth was a member of Motor Maids, Inc. riding club and loved camping and spending time on the river. She spent many years as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and had a fierce and tremendous love for her family.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in Kirk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years Bryan Thomas; sons Shawn Michael Thomas (Jhonna) and Jordan David Thomas (Skylar); grandchildren Jaxton Ray Thomas, Braxley, Kinsley, Ivy Mae, and Riley Hamm; sisters Detha Mika (Jon) and Linda Chitwood; niece and nephews Ginger Thompson, Jonatha Mika, Niki Waller, and Cole Howard; and great-nephews Dylan and Nolan Mika and little Briggs Waller.
She was preceded in death by her parents Briggs and Betty Chitwood and her mother and father-in-law Billy Ray and Lovell Thomas.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
